Model of NTNU's new SUB-Fighter 30K

Trondheim Biological Station (TBS) is NTNU's centre for research in marine biology. It was founded in 1900. Today, it is a modern research centre that can boast of advanced technical equipment, comprehensive laboratory facilities and a wide range of scientific competence. Sperre AS has supplied the laboratory with an extremely advanced ROV and is in the process of supplying a second unit.

The ROV supplied to TBS is the most advanced ever built by Sperre AS. The ROV is a powerfully specified version of our SUB-Fighter 7500 model, which has been installed with advanced fibre optics, powerful halogen lamps and an operational range of 700 m. TBS has baptised the vehicle "Minerva".

Sperre AS has won a further ROV order from NTNU. This is a particularly powerful specially designed model - the SUB-Fighter 30K - which has been specially adapted for archaeological operations. In September 2004 it was deployed to raise a shipwreck off the coast of Møre, which NTNU's archaeologists and Sperre AS discovered using a SUB-Fighter 7500. The actual ROV operation was performed by Sperre AS.
